It is a year where the famous Witchfinder General Matthew Hopkins and his right hand man John Shearne are under a King’s decree to seek out witches and rid this land of their unholy scourge.
Held in the grips of the coldest winter in centuries, villages cling to life by whatever means they can. Within the village of Four Willows a young girl is put on trial and found guilty of her abominations against God.
